Control Center: Coordination of Sovereign and Economic Interests
Summary
A live image of the traffic can be experienced in the control center, which is provided by the digital live twin. In the event of an urgent event, such as a fire, the control center also takes over the implementation of official instructions. These include, for example, area closures for automated vehicles, the implementation of which can be tracked in the control center in real time. Images from a drone or live data from automated vehicles can also be transmitted directly to the control center.
State of the Art
In the current state of the art, traffic control centers are established and take on tasks such as rescheduling traffic light phases for fire department operations or the long-term planning of measures for major events and construction sites. However, the influence of automated vehicles and intelligent infrastructures on a sovereign control center and the resulting potential have not yet been investigated. A systematic examination of this integration and its effects is still pending.
Technological Innovations
The control center is a central element of the autotech.agil mobility system and communicates with the connected components and the digital twin via a cloud infrastructure. In the event of an incident, dedicated messages can be transmitted to initiate targeted measures such as area closures. This cloud-based architecture enables the control center to act efficiently, flexibly and safely, even in critical situations. This enables coordinated and responsive traffic control across the entire system.
